I wrote an article about this not too long ago, and I feel the need to share it on my personal site as well.

Too many times have I heard grand misconceptions about the country in which I currently live. The one that gets to me the most is when people ignorantly refer to it as a “third world country.” Chile is booming. In fact, their money has surpassed the dollar since early 2009. I have seen the third world…it looks nothing like this, it´s hopeless, horrendous and something I wish upon no life. I could go on and on, but I feel it´s not even worth the fight.
