This is the story of a man who worked hard and loved what he did. About a man who married a most wonderful woman, with whom he had two children. His son tried to mimic his every move in pure admiration, but unfortunately was taken from the family way too soon. His daughter was far from “daddy’s little girl,” and he struggled to get to know her in her younger years. But he came around, finally. He realized she was alright. And life was good. And it’s important to mention that he had some really great, honest friends.
Eventually though, life caught up with him, and he too was taken from this world too soon.
His spirit will not be forgotten though. He is proof that people can change, that a person can always surprise you. Even if it’s at their own pace and by their rules, if you open your heart, they can become a very special part of your life.
These photos are dedicated to just one facet of who he was, but a very important one. They represent his loyalty, his hard work ethic and his God given talent to take a piece of land and transform it into something beautiful. On a deeper level, they represent a man who had values and stuck to them, a man who was complex, yet wonderfully simple at the very same time.

Loved this. What an awesome tribute to your dad. I will miss passing him on the road and giving him a wave! I think of him a lot when I look around our home and farm. I loved this Kendal. You knew this part of him well. He was proud of you. I miss him so much. The table in Sunday School class is not the same without him around the table, never will be. What an awesome tribute. He was truly an awesome person. Helped whomever he could whenever he could. You are definitely right when you said he could take a piece of ground and turn it into something really beautiful plus it was done correctly. He was Chad’s best friend. We miss our daily visits from him when he would come up to the shop an hang out with us. When he was working on a project you could watch him and he would just stop and contemplate on what he was going to do. He may be there for an hour or so just staring at it. Oh how we are going to miss him. We love you guys you are so special to us. Thanks for sharing the tribute with us.
