Though it means winter is coming, I absolutely love Fall here in Santiago, and this is why:
Otoño
6/19/10
I find the fall season in Santiago confusingly fantastic. On one vine you have brilliant-pink hibiscus blooms; while on the other, leaves are changing and dying. Flowers are in bloom everywhere, yet winter’s death-grip is ubiquitous. I love Santiago because of this. You have palms, pines and deciduous trees all on the same block. It’s a true mixture of fauna.
So yes, while it’s getting colder everyday and leaves scatter the ground, you can still get a false sense of warmth as you pass by the colorful blooms and giant cacti.
BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy the new season
